The Application Development and Networks stream will equip you with the skills to develop software applications and systems for business. Business’ rely on these systems to function in a competitive and efficient manner in today’s competitive environment. World wide there is a shortage of software developers so there are opportunities to take your skills and apply them across various platforms connecting to databases for compete and functional systems. Software quality and testing is a vital part of any business IT system which is applied before the deployment of the systems to the users. Systems thinking is a major component in any enterprise and these areas are covered in Systems Analysis ad Design and Software Engineering.
The degree will also equip you with the principles of networks and the security of information and your applications. Your final year will expose you to a year long project where you will interact with a business to create a software solution to solve one of their business problems.
