ALUMNI SUCCESS STORIES

Our alumni remain a part of the family, and we love keeping in touch and finding out where you are now.

IIE MSA is an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE). The campus was founded in 2001 by Monash University and was later part of Laureate International Universities. Since April 2019 the campus has been fully owned and operated by The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), ADvTECH’s higher education subsidiary and a leader in the higher education sphere. The IIE’s quality education is internationally recognised by the British Accreditation Council. Since 2019, all programmes offered at the campus lead to degrees from The IIE.

Our former students really stand out from the crowd – take a look at what they have to say about how their time at the former MSA campus helped shape their career and their journey to success.

“MSA not only offers a quality education, it also creates young people who think critically about their future and drive social change. MSA produces young people who are world changers and leaders of tomorrow.” – Francisca Nkhabu, Social Science graduate (currently doing an internship at the United Nations).

“The MSA Bachelor of IT degree taught me a lot of aspects within the IT field. It taught me how to program and how to develop systems based on complex and simple algorithms. It gave me the ability to create beautiful technological systems, either in software or hardware and laid a solid foundation for my future career”. – Steven Velcev, top IT student, recent IT graduate.

“The time I spent at MSA continues to impact my career and personal growth. My undergraduate studies gave me an essential grounding in business and equipped me with the marketing, management and media skills I would come to rely on as an independent artist. Beyond the academic aspects, I will always remember the MSA community which I was a part of and I am still in touch with many of the friends I made during my time studying”. – Game Goabaone Bantsi, AKA Zeus, Business and Economics graduate, Director of Business Development at DIY Entertainment, successful independent artist, 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow.

”Studying at MSA was the catalyst for my passion towards social justice, community development and human rights proliferation. My studies in International Relations and Criminology helped me to form a strong sense and understanding of my own political and value systems, and gave me the confidence and support I needed. As well as the academic support I received, the student experience at MSA helped to broaden my opportunities to advocate for transgender rights”. – Tshepo Ricki Kgositau, Social Science graduate, Executive Director of Gender Dynamix, 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow.

“MSA has given me the platform to acquire priceless research knowledge and skills along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The fantastic lectures, research experts, research assignments, class presentations, as well as networking and teamwork skills via group work equipped me with a range of practical knowledge and fuelled my passion. Taking part in community engagement initiatives and placements at well-known health organisations provided me with the fundamental skills to achieve my dream of becoming an epidemiologist and developing health programmes”. – Zahra Kaba, recent Public Health graduate.
