Monash South Africa (MSA) has made strides in grooming every young student entering its gates into becoming great ambassadors for MSA as a growing and esteemed higher education institution. The impressive, state of the art MSA campus in Johannesburg is dedicated to support South Africa and the continent ?to meet its diverse economic and educational needs by producing graduates that are internationally recognised. Every year graduates take the honorary stage at MSA, all hoping to use the degrees they acquire as a pathway to the future careers they aspire to pursue.
MSA hosted two of its graduation ceremonies in the month of March, which were the first of its kind since becoming a member of the Laureate International Universities Network. The campus was showered with cheerful sounds as MSA proudly celebrated graduates from the Higher Certificate in Higher Education programme, Postgraduate studies and those who majored in various disciplines across the four Schools: IT, Health Sciences, Social Science and Business and Economics.
Guest speakers for the ceremonies included Tshepo Phakathi, Group CEO of Phakathi Holdings and Thoko Mokgosi-Mwantembewho, business leader and member of MSA’s Advisory Board; who shared inspirational words of wisdom. Esther Benjamin, MSA’s CEO; also addressed the students, expressing her passion for young people and the importance of empowering oneself through education. “Take on your profession, take on the world, and change the world. We wish you all the best with your future endeavours and hope that you will make important contributions through continued hard work and commitment to excellence”, said Esther.
MSA prides itself with awarding students who embody academic excellence and thrive in different areas of their lives through leadership skills development, and one such student is Lisa Sidambe. Lisa was honoured with the prestigious Sir John Monash award, which is awarded to only one final year undergraduate student per faculty internationally, who exhibits exceptional leadership qualities and excels in academic endeavours.
MSA congratulates all new members of the alumni community and wish them well in the next phase of their lives.
