Tshepo is the Head of the Department of Law and a Senior Academic at Monash South Africa. He was the Associate Professor of Law within the School of Law at the University of the Witwatersrand from 2013 – 2017. Tshepo is also serving as a member and Deputy Chairperson of the Specialist Committee on Company Law in South Africa (SCCL) and is the former Corporate Law Consultant for the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission in South Africa (CIPC). He is also the former Associate Professor of Corporate Law & Corporate Governance at the University of Cape Town and the Former Director of the Business Registration Reform Project within the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
Tshepo received a B.Proc (Summa cum Laude) from the University of Natal in Durban; an LLB from the same University; and an LLM from Cambridge University in England, where he was the Deputy President of the Cambridge University Southern African Students’ Union (CUSAS). Tshepo is also the recipient of a PhD in Commercial Law from the University of Cape Town.
He has authored and edited a number of books and scholarly articles in the area of corporate law and corporate governance, competition law and corporate social responsibility. He has been a Visiting Scholar of the University of Nottingham, Cambridge University, Brown University, Harvard University and Indiana University.All researchers
