Dr Mlotshwa is a Senior Lecturer qualified with a Doctorate in Education Management: Youth Resilience; Master in Education: Leadership and Administration; Bachelor Child and Youth Development; National Diploma Child and Youth Development. Her exposure in the sector includes work in the Government sector (National Department of Social Development: Youth Directorate), Higher Education sector, NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) sector and broadly Community Development. Additional training acquired includes Policy Development and Management; Strategic Management and Development; Facilitation; Counselling, Lecturing; Industrial relations; Performance Management; Leadership Development; Quality Assurance; Monitoring and Evaluation; Research; Report writing; and Public speaking amongst other.
Doctor Mlotshwa served in the ministerial appointed National Department of Social Development Disaster Relief Board and The Presidency’s Youth Development advisory committee. Since joining IIE MSA in 2012, Dr Mlotshwa lectures within the Bachelor Child and Youth Care programme and is responsible for the following modules: Professional Child and Youth Care, Relational Child and Youth Care, Behaviour Management for Children and Youth, Child and Youth Interventions, Child abuse and Family Functioning, Management of Community Projects, Intermediary services for Children and Youth in Courts, Child and Youth Care Policy and Legislative Frameworks.
